Debra J. Rog, PhD

Debra Rog is a leading expert in programme evaluation and applied social research. Dr. Rog is currently the President of the American Evaluation Association (AEA), an international professional association of evaluators devoted to the application and exploration of programme evaluation, personnel evaluation, technology, and many other forms of evaluation. AEA has approximately 5,500 members in the United States and more than 60 countries.

She has provided project management and subject-matter expertise for research funded by clients such as the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Center for Mental Health Services, the National Institute of Mental Health, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the National Mental Health Association, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, among others.

Dr. Rog has published and presented widely on mental health treatment issues, programme evaluation, and methodological topics and is a recognised expert in evaluation methodology, homelessness, and mental health. She is an editor for numerous books, series, and journals.

Dr. Rog is also a Vice President of the Rockville Institute, a nonprofit corporation dedicated to performing social science research and disseminating research findings to the public. The Institute develops analytic methods used for social science research, evaluates programmes run by charitable organisations and government, and compiles and disseminates statistics.

Dr. Rog received a BS in psychology from American International College, an MA in social psychology from Kent State University, and a PhD in social psychology from Vanderbilt University.
