Vasudha Narayanan, MA, MBA, MS.

Vasudha Narayanan directs large complex surveys in various aspects of health services and the health care workforce. These largely include surveys of beneficiaries and patients in government-run health programmes, as well as physicians and other providers of health care services.

After earning her MA in economics and MBA (in Chennai and Jamshedpur, India, respectively), Ms. Narayanan joined Tata Management and Training Centre, in Pune, as a management consultant where she focused her efforts on organisational behaviour and design. Ms. Narayanan has long been interested in studying how the behaviours and attitudes of people in organisations affect and inform an organisation's design.

Ms. Narayanan went on to work in the advertising industry in Mumbai, India, for 8 years, where she was involved in media planning and strategy, account management, and new business departments. Ms. Narayanan worked on several multinational accounts, including Cadbury, AT&T, Johnson & Johnson, and Asian Paints.

Turning toward social development projects, a personal focus for many years, Ms. Narayanan relocated to the United States to complete an MS in health care management and policy. She pursued initiatives in the health care sector, particularly on the quality of health care services and resources, and access to health care services.

Ms. Narayanan is a member of the American Association of Public Opinion Researchers (AAPOR). AAPOR is an association of individuals who share an interest in survey research, qualitative and quantitative research methods, and public opinion data. Members come from academia, media, government, the nonprofit sector, and private industry.
